How to Replace the Left Brake Light on a Toyota Sienna
The Sienna is a Toyota minivan that has been going strong for almost two decades. The brake light bulb on the Sienna can be found in the tail light assembly piece on the back of the minivan. Once you remove the assembly, you can replace the brake light bulb. Be sure to check your owner's manual or a Toyota dealership for the correct bulb replacement, since different year Sienna vehicles require different bulbs.
Shut down the car engine and be sure the lights are set to the "off" position.
Face the back of the car and locate the left tail light cover.
Unscrew the two bolts on the right side of the cover with a screwdriver. Set them aside; you will need these bolts later when you reattach the piece.
Pull the casing out of the Sienna and locate the top bulb. This is the brake light.
Follow the wire running to the brake light bulb casing and detach it by twisting it counterclockwise. The bulb will now be visible.
Pull the bulb out of the socket and insert the replacement bulb.
Connect the wires, reattach the housing and screw the bolts back in place.
